“Dr. Salako gave me my first professional opportunity as a machine learning research intern in 2021/2022 at Oncopadi Technology, a cancer clinic initiative she founded. Working on the initial stages of the Prose Care application under her guidance was transformative. Her insights into building solutions were astounding, and our time together helped me understand people, build relationships, and grasp the essence of creating technology for societal impact. “My cancer advocate journey started in 2014, after l lost my late husband to colorectal Cancer in 2013, i met Dr omolola in 2015, l was one of the active volunteer for the famous Project 12KLLP breast cancer awareness campaign, Guniness World Record Challenge Forming the LARGEST HUMAN PINK RIBBON to mark World Cancer Day 2015 organized by Sebeccly Cancer Care ,working closely with Dr omolola the Founder of Sebeccly on #12KLLP project as my Head & Team leader was a learning process for me in cancer advocacy, it was insightful and inspired me more, to start Niola Cancer Care Foundation, a colorectal cancer NGO in 2016, Dr omolola is a goal getter, cerebral and a good team player.”
